Goals & focus sessions
In this help doc
Set goals and let your model learn what productive means for you 🎯
Goals are how Microsome learns what focus looks like for you. A focus session then holds you to that goal for as long as you choose.
Creating a goal
Describe what you're trying to do — write my thesis, ship the release, study for finals. Microsome uses that to decide what counts as productive while the goal is active.
Starting a focus session
Press Start focus and pick a goal. During the session, anything that doesn't fit the goal is blocked. End the session when you're done, or lock it so you can't.
How the model adapts
On the Sigma tier, a hyper-specified model tunes itself to your goals over time, getting sharper about the grey-area pages a generic blocker gets wrong.
Reviewing your progress
After a session you can see how focused you stayed. If a goal is shared with a manager or parent, they see progress only — never what you browsed. More on the privacy page.
