Privacy is important to us — learn about how we handle privacy at Microsome 🔑
Microsome is built so that protecting your privacy isn't a feature we add on — it's the architecture. Because the app reads, understands, and decides on a page entirely on your own machine, there is simply no browsing stream to upload, leak, sell, or subpoena. This page highlights how that works.
How we handle your data
There is no communication with our servers while your activity is being monitored. Page evaluation runs locally, end to end, and your browsing content never leaves your computer. We hold any vendors we work with to the same local-first, minimal-data standard we hold ourselves to.
What we store
We keep only standard account login data — enough to sign you in and sync your settings across devices. We do not store the pages you visit, the content you read, or what Microsome blocked. There is no activity history sitting on a server with your name on it.
Shared goals, not data
When a manager, parent, or partner is given access, they see goal progress only — never the underlying activity. A teammate can see that you stayed focused; they cannot see what you browsed. Accountability without surveillance.
We never sell or share your data
Microsome is funded by the people who use it, not by advertising. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and there is no third-party tracking baked into the app. Because privacy is the architecture and not a setting, there is nothing to opt out of.
Your controls
You can export or delete your account data at any time from settings. Deleting your account removes your login record permanently. Questions about how your data is handled? Reach us at privacy@microsome.ai
