Microsome is a context-aware blocker that helps you produce more and consume less. This guide takes you from install to your first focused hour.

Install Microsome

Head to the download page — Microsome detects your operating system and offers the right build for macOS or Windows. Run the installer and sign in, or create a free Beta account.

Run your first focus session

Open Microsome and press Start focus. From that moment, distracting pages are evaluated and blocked before they finish loading. You don't need to build a blocklist — Microsome reads each page and decides in real time.

Set your first goal

Tell Microsome what you're working on. Your goal tunes what counts as a distraction, so focus is defined for you, specifically — not by a generic list.
